Welcome to the Website of the Trillium Miata Club

Click on the Events below for more details
Founded in 1991, we are the largest organized Miata club in Canada, with over 150 members currently active in the club all across southern Ontario. We get together and hold driving “tours” with our cars in spring, summer and fall. We find great places and restaurants to visit, both close by (on the best roads in the greater GTA area) and far away (driving around Ontario and out-of-province on fantastic longer tours several times a year). We also hold friendly and informative club meetings every month. But mostly, we specialize in having fun with each other and our cars. And as you know if you are reading this, there is no better car for just having fun in than a Miata!!!
If you are a visitor to this website, welcome! Enjoy looking around – check out how much fun this club can be. If you have any questions, send me an email. Look at our calendar and come out to a Trillium event. Non-members are always welcome!
If you are a club member, welcome to your Trillium Miata Club website! Mazda Canada's 50th Anniversary
Mazda Canada celebrated their 50th anniversary in Canada with a great party. Mazda has always been committed to serving the Canadian automotive market with vehicles that have an extra bit of driving spirit right from the start. Canada was the second overseas market for Mazda! They were in Canada even before the USA! There was a very strong Trillium Miata showing at the celebration! We had wonderful weather and some of us had a chance to sample the 2019 MX5! All of this was topped off with a great evening tour for ice cream!
Lake Placid, NY, 2018
Lake Placid, New York, the perfect weekend. Can't wait to go back. It was the perfect weekend. Dozens and shops and restaurants within walking distance -- seconds from the hotel. Gorgeous reflections on Mirror Lake. 46 lake-view rooms all to ourselves. We stayed at The Lake House, every door posted a sign saying closed for our private/special event. The parking lot was similarly barricaded for us. Amazing roads. Splendid meals. Perfect company. We may already be sold out for next year! Ask around; you won't find any complaints.
Toronto Auto Show, ND Baby!
Yup, that's right. We were invited as Mazda's guests to the Toronto International Auto Show, ahead of the crowds, and were treated to a very unexpected surprise! Big thanks go out to Heather and Mazda Canada for being so generous to us. I think Paul said it best in the subsequent e-screed:|
I must pinch myself; I'm dreaming! That's how I and forty-one other club members felt on Friday morning when we were invited to mount Mazda's rotating stand and sit for just a few brief moments in the new ND, the 2016 Miata MX-5.
Finished in the same red as the RHD car displayed in September, this was the first LHD car that we had seen. Initial impressions were very favourable to wildly enthusiastic. It even passed Gary's elbow test. I consider it a design with great integrity and ergonomically sound, but that is just a first impression.
Even though we didn't drive the car, everyone had irrepressible smiles as they sat in the car, that stayed after they got out. Mazda has done it again.
