A survey-tour across the Maritimes. We start from Belleville, and sleep in Riviere Du-Loup, Moncton, Charlottetown, Port Hawkesbury, Baddeck, Halifax, and back to Riviere Du-Loup. We're seeing Fundy National Park and Hopewell Rocks where we can walk on the ocean floor when the 15m tides roll out. We're touring half of PEi's coast-line and the Confederation Bridge. We're driving the causeway and the cabbot trail. We'll enjoy the only actual scotch legally made outside of scotland in Baddeck. We'll lunch in Sydney, just to say that we did, and maybe we'll visit Peggy's Cove. This trip is filled with canadian coast-line, and bountiful beauty.

Complete Event Description:
That's right, there's more. Look forward to a PEi after-dark exploration tour, look-out for the many look-outs, and stay tuned for the activities yet to be finalized. We're staying in nice hotels throughout.
Obviously, as an 8-day tour, there will be real costs involved. You can expect to spend $100 per day in gas alone. A few days have 8-hour travel times. Most fun days have 500km of interesting roads with many stops for look-outs. Hotel nights range in prices, features, and meals. You'll likely spend approximately $150/night between hotel and breakfast and parking. With meals, my math comes to ~$2'500 per car. Be sure to budget for souveniers as well!
Over-all, this is a 5'000km tour, Belleville-to-Belleville. We're inviting both the UMN club as well as the MoM club, and yet we're still limiting the number of cars to keep things manageable. We're restricting our club to a maximum of 8 cars.
I've always wanted to see the maritimes. I'm tired of my hard-earned dollars being spent by other countries with intolerable problems. I feel proud to invest my dollars into my own country's economy.
GPX files and registration forms are forth-coming. We expect to open registration on the May meeting.
