Join Rose on a tour of 3 Waterfalls in the Dundas escarpment area. This is a mid-week tour and will include a lunch stop. There will be a $10 parking fee which is good for all locations for the day. See Description for more details
Complete Event Description:
This is a Thursday day tour. The reason is you can't get near the falls or parking on the weekends.
I've picked a May date so that the falls should be in their full spring glory and not dried up as they can be in July or August.
There will be stairs and walking on wooded paths so wear good walking shoes. None of the distances to the falls are long distances from the parking areas.
We'll meet at Rose's house, 360 Park St., W, Dundas, Ontario L9H 1Z4 at 10:00 a.m. for a 10:15 a.m. departure.
There are no GPX files or maps, this will be a follow the leader tour.
We will start the tour by driving up to Websters Falls, then on to Tews Falls. Tews falls requires some stair climbing.
We'll spend some time at each location then head back down into Dundas to the Nostalgia Restaurant which serves up German fare including a darn good Schnitzel.
After lunch we'll drive through the Dundas Valley conservation area for a stop at Spencer falls. This one has a bit of a rugged path, but it's not far.
As I mentioned there is a $10 parking ticket which must be purchased in the parking lot. The parking pass is good for all locations for the whole day.
As I need to let the restaurant know how many to expect, I would appreciate an email by May 5th if you wish to join us for lunch.
