Time again for Shakespeare-in-the-park! This year’s production is The Taming of the Shrew. Any rumours that it is a biographical life and times story about Liz Burns are considerably exaggerated. We are planning to see the show at a venue nestled in the picturesque town of Dundas (near Hamilton) which we have not as a group been to yet for this event. It is easy to get to by most of us in the Western GTA, easy to find if you have been to Frosty’s Fish restaurant or Rose’s place, a beautiful setting with plenty of parking. And there is an sheltered venue option nearby if it rains. Here is the Driftwood website calendar link for that date:
http://www.driftwoodtheatre.com/event/the-taming-of-the-shrew-driving-park-dundas-july-28/ The date is Wednesday July 27, 7:30 show time. It will be a ‘destination event tour’, no time for those of us with a busy work week schedule to do a pre-event drive. BYOC (chair) unless you pre-book one online, or a blanket. Bring bug spray and cash (for Pay-What-You-Can admission and snacks or drinks).
